Clois Apart
- Hi, Teri! We havn't seen each other for ages, isn't that right?
- Oh! Dean! That is so true! I can hardly believe that you're here. Did you come because of me?
- Many times, Lois.
- Shh! Stop it, Dean. Be serious. Only because of my book presentation?
- In fact, that's not quite right. I've come to see you again. We - we - did have such good times, didn't we?
- We did.
- And bad ones, too.
- Right. Well -
- I heard you're not doing all too well, though, personally, I mean.
- You know, the gossip.
- Yes. But I know you, too, Teri. You're a troubled one.
- Listen, Dean, from what I hear, you haven't found your true soulmate yet, either.
- Definitely not.
- And now you've come to see me. In public.
- Well, sorry. Since it's almost impossible to track you down in your hiding places -
- Dean?
- Yes?
- Is there -
- What?
- Oh, I don't know -
- Is there what, Teri?
- Alright. Is there - is any memory of what we once shared part of your motivation getting here today?
- Well -
- Oh?
- If you must know -
- I do.
- There is.
- Oh, Dean. Dean! That did not really -
- Work out all so well, you mean?
- Exactly. Don't you think it'll be unwise to dig up those experiences again? For friendship's sake?
- Teri, I don't know if I remember it right, but all your problems at that time could be summed up in one name. And you got rid of this name - and of half a million bucks.
- A quarter of a miillion, actually. Luckily.
- Alright, a quarter then. So he is gone now. And there is nobody else around, is there?
- Not at the moment.
- Well, if that is the case, don't you think we could afford to look into that again? See if there is anything to state?
- Kiss me, Dean. In front of all these people that would be quite a statement.
- I really love statements of this kind.
- And I'm beginning to remember -
- So do I!
- Dean?
- Yes, Teri?
- Let's go somewhere else.

Author's Concern - Please read!
The author of this little piece of fiction feels the desperate need to express the following to all readers: No harm at all is intended with this purly fictional dialogue. It emerged from an everlasting hope that love really can make the world a better place. Using the names of real people doesn't mean disrespect. All there is implied is that what could have been, in another life may be, could have been true and good. The author is not making any propositions to anyone and also not making any remarks about the real actors, Teri and Dean, and respects their privacy with deepest regard. So therefore nobody has the right to quote this text for any purpose whatsoever, or suggest anything of any kind. I hope I've made myself clear.
