I passed this anniversary
of snowy white December's sphere
which had been on in January
a month to claim a whole long year
And this time rain had had it's share
when I forgot to count the stars
Though I had died in summer's air
I had my aches to fight off Mars
But there is nothing to relate
nor claims nor islands to debate
Because if folks yet fought for ground
it would be proof that they're still bound
Now back at nights is proud Orion
If he stays unfazed like a lion
and greets in silence with a twinkle
I might give other days a tinkle
