Sad SATC
Jo Rowling said it, and she knew she was right: Where there is no conflict, there is no story. Well, someone should tell the folks in the city, because, obviously, they don't know. In their latest movie there was not a lot of whatever had kept them popular for so long, such as the City of New York, the sex, or the conflict.
Especially towards the end, "happy" seemed to be so unavoidable that any drama was coming along as most inevitably contrived. Despite all the dressing up in the desert, there was not a lot at all.
So if you got bored with this one, you wanna know what the next movie could possibly come up with. Of course, we will all be going to watch it, wondering why they did not keep us on our toes knowing that there was to be another movie. There could have been unsolved problems, fear, insecurity, even an open end! All we have left now is a faint hope number 3 will be better.
