core caring creature
that scan of my beating heart
the other day was so
intense and unexpected
it nearly tore me apart
to see that current show
inside me unaffected
was I as a stranger there
to watch each single move
that came from this creature
I liked it quite aware
that all of us will approve
our own debut feature

a silver lining
could you just look me in the eye
and still deny me
could you just walk away
and leave me all behind
would you not care to take a look
and see what I see
or would you even live a time
to be my kind
a silver lining on ev'ry dark horizon
is just the place where silly dreams like mine belong
a silver lining on ev'ry dark horizon
will turn my hopes into another gloomy song
would you not take me in your arms
and give me comfort
would you just keep a heart
cut out of solid wood
could you not dare to turn
yourself into a convert
or could you love me till
the morning broke for good
a silver lining on ev'ry dark horizon
is just the place where silly dreams like mine belong
a silver lining on ev'ry dark horizon
will turn my hopes into another gloomy song
a silver lining on ev'ry dark horizon
is just a way where life's illusions can't go wrong
a silver lining on ev'ry dark horizon
will turn my needs into a craving all life long

Taking a Hike
She knew they wouldn't go for her. They always went for the skinny ones, and since she was with Vivian "the body" Mills, she was in no danger even to be noticed.
While the boys were talking to Viv who had already started to deal out her cards to both of them, the one called Marco was a little in the lead.
Maia, meanwhile, watched a couple of flies at the wall next to the counter. They also had certain knowledge of the game. That much was obvious. And they allowed themselves so much to be taken in by their acting that they actually ignored Maia's hand waving at them. She could have flattened them without them realising. Cut them down.
A move to her right made her look at the threesome to her right. Now, Jimmy did not even bother to pretend anymore and was standing with his back to her, while laughing with Viv.
"I need the loo", Maia said, not very loud, because of the convention for such an announcement, but it didn't matter anyhow, as no one was listening.
When she had crossed the half-empty dance floor, while the music had become louder and again quieter, she hesitated in front of the toilet, since it had been an excuse, and she did not need the loo, now. She turned her head and saw a nice little silent corner with a bench and even a tiny table next to it. Just the right spot for someone to be able to watch the constantly shrinking number of attendants due to the late hour.
She had just taken that seat that was to be hers now, when Jimmy turned up in front of the loo doors. He did not even look at her before he sat down next to her.
"What's up", he more or less stated.
"Yeah", she nodded.
"Gonna come with me to the movie on Friday? Late night double?"
Now this was quite surprising, Maia had to admit, and, consistently, she did not answer.
"No need to tell me now", he said. He was smoothing the way for her alright. And got up.
"Call you tomorrow, right?"
Maia nodded and he went away. Another one excused not having used the loo.
When she had decided to return to the counter, Jimmy had gone, and Vivian went for the loo, this time apparently for real.
Marco looked at Maia and made a greeting move.
"Alright?" he said.
Maia nodded.
"Any commitments on Saturday, Maia?"
He actually knew her name. How mad could you get?
"Thought of a cosy little chat just the two of us. At the corner pub on Regent Street?"
Maia suddenly felt a strong desire to look for the flies. Were they done? Still alive, both of them? Or had someone taken advantage of them?
Marco nodded, as if to himself.
"Listen, I'll be at the bakery tomorrow at noon. If you're working you can tell me where you'd like to go. If Saturday is right, that is. I could also do Sunday."
Maia nodded, not really knowing what she was agreeing to. This was weird.
And before Vivian returned, Marco had left.
Vivian smiled at Maia.
"You must have been bored, me with the boys all this time."
"Oh, well", said Maia, "Always the same, isn't it?"
"Feeling a little guilty, really."
"No need" said Maia and smiled cannily. "I'm actually having a lucky streak tonight!"
"No! Both? Really?" said Vivian, and she could hardly calm herself down.
"Yep", nodded Maia proudly and then, finally, she frenched Vivian.
When they separated again, they smiled at each other.
"Let's take a hike", they chorused, and burst into laughter.
"Dyke, dear", corrected Vivian cheerily, and, both singing, they left the club: I believe in woman my oh my.

Marcel is wrong
I like my prose
no better than my verse
And all these words
I puke up are a curse
I wish I had
no need to think and write
As for my mind
I wish it was just white
An overdose
could not be any worse
Than never-ending
Aches of giving birth
I should be dead
I never learned to fight
This horrid force
to be a clown's insight
