A Santa Claus had been hired by an agent to deliver chocolate to a big company as a little christmas something for the company's employees. Many of them employees, though, in order to keep their slim figures, refused to take the offered sweet so that the Santa had a lot of left overs. He then asked whether he could take this spare chocolate with him to give it away to someone in need. The present man in charge agreed, and so did the agent whom the Santa had contacted. Therefore, the Santa took the chocolate and brought it to the children's cancer ward at the university hospital in his town, and made many kids and nurses and even the doctors there very happy.
Later that day, the Santa had an unpleasant phone call. His agent told him that some executives of the company were wondering where the spare chocolate had gone. The Santa explained what had happened, and that the agent should tell the executives that the chocolate had been given to the children. Yes, said the agent, he had explained that already to the lady at the phone, but much to her regret the executives wanted the chocolate, anyway. The man in charge had not really been in charge, and the spare chocolate could very well last for a few days longer and would hopefully be eaten by the company members.
The agent had to replace the missing chocolate, preparing it with the company's logo, just like before, and deliver it, and he and the Santa had to pay for everything. What other choice did they have if they wanted to keep this contract? Besides the fact that the parents of those sick children will think good of the "generous" company, whose logo is sticking on the chocolate given to their beloveds, and will never learn about the agent's or the Santa's misfortune, one might just wish that in the end the executives themselves will have to eat all the left overs!
