Can we humanists not seperate our work from our mental or physical state?
For instance, I guess, everyone can see that it's difficult for a craftsman to work with his hands tied behind his back. On the other hand, speaking of which, who would? I mean, have his hands tied behind his back while working - if not forced.
Just we humanists seem to do this permanently, and by ourselves, without any force responsible for it. Instead of opening our hearts and and souls to our artistic goals, we tie them tightly behind the back of our better judgement, and don't release them. And we cannot seperate our personal consciousness from our artistic one. So in the end, we do nothing really. And tell everyone, we can't.
That is what I call preserving one's sensibilities. What for, I ask. Without a creation, they're beneath notice, anyway.
